Eye Clinic Services

Appointments may be made by calling our office at 318-325-2020 weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please bring insurance cards, list of medicines and your most recent pair of eyeglasses and contact lenses. If this is to be your first visit to The Eye Clinic of Monroe, arrive 20 minutes early in order to complete appropriate forms.

For a new patient, or if your eyes are to be dilated, allow an hour or two for a complete exam. The dilation may blur your vision and cause your eyes to become sensitive to light. We encourage you to bring sunglasses and to make arrangements for someone to drive you home. We do not recomend that you drive after your eyes have been dilated, patched, or if an ointment has been placed in them.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call our office as soon as possible in order to make that time available for other patients.

For office visits, we ask that you pay at the time of service. This helps keep the expense of billing and additional filing from affecting our fees. Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are acceptable forms of payment.

The Eye Clinic of Monroe is a participating Medicare provider. This means we accept assignment on all Medicare claims and accept the amount allowed by Medicare as our charge to you. Since Medicare pays only 80 percent of the allowable amount, we are required to collect from you or your co-insurer the remaining 20 percent as well as for any deductable that has not been met.
